We are now seeking members who would like to patrol for the 2015/2016 Season at Frankston LSC. Members wishing to patrol must complete the online form by 14th October 2015. All members returning for the 2015/2016 season need to complete their membership and payment on portal.sls.com.au and follow the steps.
Surf Life Saving Australia’s SLSA new Member’s Portal is now live and online. The purpose of the Portal is to act as a one-stop-shop for member information, sourced from across all of the organisations clubs, branches, states and national groups. Which you as a member will have complete access to. Members will now be able to use the Portal to join a Club, renew membership and view personal details, patrol hours/rosters, awards and assessments. ALL MEMBERS MUST UPDATE THEIR DETAILS!
Applications are now open for those who wish to be considered for employment as a Life Saving Victoria (LSV) paid Lifeguard for the 2015/2016 season. Positions exist for beach lifeguards, event lifeguards, as well as specialist roles for LSV Comms Operators, RWC lifeguards and lifeguards at Rowing Victoria events.
LSV encourages members and club officers to attend appropriate sessions. Sessions include: Lifesaving Club Governance Workshop, Age Managers Course, Senior First Aid, Spinal Management Scenario Based Workshop, Airway Management, LSV IT/Resources updates for Training and Assessment, Assessors Course and ARTC (HLTAID007) upgrade. Frankston Life Saving Club's Lifesaving Emergency Response program will be undertaking a training scenario on the 5th (Saturday) December 2015 between 9.30AM - 12.00PM at Frankston Beach. Nippers Swim Assessments is THIS SUNDAY 25TH OCTOBER 2015. 10AM-12PM. @ Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC). There will be membership assistance session at Frankston Life Saving Club at the same time. Also options to purchase uniforms.
There will be a ‘Patrol Information Night’ on Friday 16th October 2015 @ 7.00PM. This is for new and returning members. This will be an opportunity to be informed of lifesaving changes, complete memberships and have access to one on one support if needed.

Expressions of interest are currently being sought from members wishing to become a volunteer LSVComms Operator for the 2015/2016 season. LSVComms Operators are responsible for receiving and processing all emergency and non-emergency state-wide radio and telephone communications. Applications close 10:00pm on Wednesday, 23 September 2015. Life Saving Victoria is proud to announce the 18-25 Leadership Weekend* for 2015. This weekend provides young emerging leaders with the unique opportunity to excel both personally and professionally through meaningful workshops, practical leadership development, exposure to motivational speakers and the chance to engage and network with young established leaders within lifesaving.
Life Saving Victoria is offering a special fast-track pool lifeguard course aimed at helping club members achieve the pool lifeguard qualification. Pool Lifeguard Fast-Track course When: Saturday, 17 & Sunday 18 October 2015 Venue: Casey ARC, Princes Hwy, Narre Warren, 3805 Time: 9:00am – 6:00pm each day Price: $220 for members (normal price $250)
